Dr. Denise Dunbar has been an educator since 1974 and has been involved in distance education since 1998. Dunbar's area of expertise is educational leadership and she developed EDAD 5050 Educational Law for the RODP and has been teaching it since 2005. She also developed an online course for Tennessee State University in dissertation writing and has been teaching it for two years. 

Dr. Dunbar holds the rank of Associate Professor in the Department of Educational Administration at Tennessee State University. Her educational background includes the Bachelor of Science in Education from Northern Illinois University, the Master of Education in general administrative leadership from Peabody College at Vanderbilt University, and Doctor of Education in general administrative leadership from Peabody College at Vanderbilt University.
