Lucia Vanderpool has worked in higher education for 18 years with teaching experience in business and computer information systems. She has been active in online education for the past 11 years and has worked with RODP since its beginning in 2001. During this time, she held the position of campus trainer at The University of Memphis, and currently holds the positions of RODP Faculty Mentor and Instructor.

Vanderpool received her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from The University of Memphis, a master’s degree in Operations Management from the University of Arkansas, and will complete a doctorate in Higher Education Leadership from Union University in July 2008.

Her research interests focus on engaging adult learners in the online classroom and promoting online student success.
